The advantages to a better parental life
There is no better way to understand the opportunities that your child can take advantage of until you get a little involved. I personally was never in my children's elementary PTA and I never felt out of the loop; but, since middle school, I found my life is easier by being involved in PTSA. I am not saying everyone should sign up to be the President (lol), but my kids have definitely been better off because I know what's going on around the campus. The knowledge of the people at these meetings helps me know what to do, at what time, and who to go to if I need anything. It's amazing! For only one hour each month, I don't have to try and pull information out of my children. That in itself is worth it. Please consider coming to our PTSA meetings on the first Tuesday of every month in the conference room at 7:00 p.m. You won't be sorry you took the time. Our membership drive organized by Isabelle Huber has done fantastically this year. Our membership is at 460. Did you have your students sign up, too? You should. When they sign those college applications, your children can say they are members of PTSA/PTA. Most importantly, they can apply for our $200 scholarship we will be giving out this year. Look in this newsletter for more details. Application for this scholarship should be coming out in late February. Do you get the
Daily Bulletin sent to your email at home or phone? You can, too, if you don't already, and that is a huge help bridging the gaps of communication in my household. Call Michelle Castro at our administration office and she will put you on her list. Lastly, If you feel driven to actually be a part of our board, or would like to be in an appointed position, please email me at

. We love new ideas and want new people involved! A great PTSA makes a happy school, happier teachers and staff, and the happiest of students.
